Jepara, August 1–3, 2025 — In a continued effort to enhance the direction and quality of nutrition education in line with current scientific and professional developments, the Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK UNDIP) held a Curriculum Workshop for the Undergraduate Nutrition Program, Dietitian Professional Program, and Master of Nutrition Science Program. The three-day event took place at Horison Inn Kotta Jepara, a hotel operated through a strategic business collaboration between UNDIP and PT Metropolitan Golden Management – Horison Hotels Group.
The workshop served as a vital platform for aligning UNDIP’s multilevel nutrition education curriculum with national policy directions and global challenges. The event was officially opened by Dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, M.Si., Med., Ph.D, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, who represented the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by Gemala Anjani, SP, M.Si, Ph.D, Head of the Department of Nutrition.
Throughout the workshop, a range of strategic issues was addressed, including the direction of multilevel education policy at UNDIP, higher education in nutrition, professional licensing and standardization of nutrition services, current developments in nutrition curricula across Indonesia, and the key milestones of the nutrition profession nationally.

Thematic discussions were conducted in parallel sessions based on core disciplines—Basic and Clinical Nutrition, Public Nutrition, and Institutional Nutrition—facilitated by active participation from faculty members across all three study programs. These sessions were critical for reviewing the latest curriculum structure, strengthening learning outcomes, and ensuring alignment with societal needs and labor market demands.
Beyond curriculum reform, the workshop also became a strategic moment to revisit and refine the vision and mission of the Department of Nutrition, as well as the three programs, in accordance with the latest VMTS (Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives) of the Faculty of Medicine. This process aimed to make the department more responsive to advances in science, technology, and national policy, in line with UNDIP’s spirit of “Beneficial UNDIP, Dignified UNDIP.”
The event concluded with a plenary session and a comprehensive reflection on the results of the curriculum discussions. This workshop marks a significant milestone for the Department of Nutrition FK UNDIP in its commitment to developing a superior, adaptive, and impactful multilevel nutrition education system, contributing meaningfully to improving public health at both the national and global levels.
